St. Peter's Lutheran Preschool is licensed by the Division of
Child Day Care Licensing (DCDCL), Bureau of Regulatory Services,
State of Michigan St. Peter's Lutheran Preschool is administered by the St. Peter's
Preschool Board. The teaching staff exceeds the minimum standards required by the
DCDCL in that they hold Bachelor's degrees or additional college
credit beyond the Associate's degree required by the State.
Additionally, all staff members are trained in infant and child
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, first aid, and prevention of
communicable diseases. All teachers and aides have experience working in an early
childhood environment. Class sizes and required personnel meet the requirements
established by the DCDCL. The school is licensed for 49 students at
one time. Classes for five year-olds are limited to 14 students,
four year-olds are limited to 18 students, and the three year-old
classes are restricted to either 14 or 10 students depending on the
classroom.
