ENROLLMENT POLICY
St. Peter's Lutheran Preschool exists for members of
St. Peter's Lutheran Church and members of the community who wish
their children to experience a Christian early childhood program.
Acceptance into St. Peter's Lutheran Preschool will be determined by
the Board of Education, using the following criteria:
-
Parents must be in accord with the religious
program.
-
Parents must be willing to cooperate with the
school in all matters relating to the program.
-
Children in the Early Fives program must be five
by the 15th day of February and have gone to preschool
previously. Children in the four-year-old program must be four
by December 1, and children in the three-year-old program must
be three by December 1 of the enrollment year. Children in
the Young Threes class must be two years, six months at the time
of enrollment.
* Exceptions will be considered and based on interview and
observation of a child.
-
Children must be toilet trained and able to
function without a nap during school hours.
-
A child's enrollment is contingent upon meeting
the qualifications in items 1 - 4 above and upon availability of
classroom space.
-
No child will be denied enrollment on the basis
of race, sex, creed and/or national origin.
NONDISCRIMINATION STATEMENT
St. Peter's Lutheran
Preschool admits students of any race, color, or
national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges,
programs and activities generally accorded or made
available to students at the school. It does not
discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national or
ethnic origin in administration of its educational
policies, admission policies, scholarship programs, and
athletic and other school-administered programs. |
SPECIAL NEEDS ENROLLMENT
Children with special needs will be evaluated on
a case by case basis. Evaluation will consist of a meeting
between, but not limited to, the parents, the child, the
faculty, two preschool board members, any therapists involved
with the child, and any other parties pertinent to the child.
If a child is accepted into the preschool
program, there will be a two-month probationary period during
which it will be decided if the program is proving mutually
beneficial to the child as well as his/her classmates.

two weeks' tuition beyond the date of the child's last day of
attendance.
SCRIP (TUITION REDUCTION)
St. Peter's participates in the SCRIP program to
provide tuition reduction for families. Parents buy SCRIP (gift
